Although Genie itself has grown into a very large program with thousands of features, we have put a lot of effort into keeping the user interface as simple as possible, so that the less experienced computer user can still learn and operate it with ease.

Genie keeps your network simple to maintain and update because it is fully integrated, incorporating Appointments, Billing and Clinical Management in the one program.

Genie uses true client-server technology when running on a network. This means that your network will be fast and stable, even in the largest of practices. That's because the work is shared between the server and the client computers, so adding an extra client has minimal effect on network speed.

Genie has its own built-in server, so there's no need to buy Microsoft SQL Server licenses, which can be an unexpected extra cost when buying some other medical programs.

Genie is built on an industrial-strength database which will continue to grow with your practice, with no practical limits on data size. It is designed to run 24 hours a day and is protected by integrated automated backups.

Genie is platform-independent. It runs on both Windows and Macintosh operating systems, even mixed in the same network. You can simply copy your data file back and forth between a Mac and a PC, in case you ever want to switch platforms.

If a new doctor joins your Windows practice, he can plug his Mac straight into your network without any modifications. And vice-versa.
